This is being brought to you by an experience that I just encountered. So while doing a quick late night-run to the store as I was getting out of the car a lady approached me. She asked if I was a Christian and I responded, "yes". She then proceeded to ask me if I would pray with her and I told her "sure". Before praying she shared that she was having foot surgery in a few days and she went on to share that her husband has been saying really cruel things to her and told her that he wish she dies in a car wreck or die during her surgery. Her next prayer request was for a forgiving heart so that she could forgive her husband. She went on to say we are having financial problems as well. As I was listening, I was just floored that God sent her to me. I have been meditating on the fact that nothing can happen without God approving and allowing it. This week I have been battling with being weary in well doing but also praying that God help me during the times I experience my "why me" moments. While I was having my "why me" moments they were geared towards me questioning myself of my worthiness and whether I should be walking in the path I see God sending me. A couple of days ago I listened to my Pastor preach a sermon titled, "Quit Tripping". This sermon ministered to my spirit and showed me that none of us are worthy and we are only worthy because of our risen Savior Jesus Christ. When God looks at us he does not see any blemishes but only the slate that has been wiped clean. So when this lady approached me "little old me" on tonight seeking prayer God just showed me that obedience is better than sacrifice. I sent her to you, now what are you going to do. Are you going to pray for her or send her away. Of course I did not send her away, I prayed with her standing outside of the gas station at 10:30 pm at night and prayed for her, her circumstances and her husband. She was so thankful and blessed and even asked for a hug and then invited me to their church service on tomorrow night. The moral of this story is that we have to be ready at all times. People are in need all around us and God wants to use us all including you to go forward and be Disciples of Men (Matthew 28:19) and share his Word, do his Will, and walk in his Purpose.
