Self-Esteem

Being an adolescent can be a very scary time for children.  During this time they are presented with a tremendous amount of stressors including fitting in with their peers and peer pressure.  They are confused about their physical appearance and what is acceptable in society due to social media.  It is so important that they are taught to love themselves.  Parents must increase communication and be open to listen to the concerns of their children regarding these issues.  Many parents do not make the time to discuss these areas.  Children may also have issues with self-esteem due to their environment in the home, especially if they are being emotionally and verbally abused in the home.  Parents take time out with your children and get them the help they need.
